Hedland Primary STEM Centre

Hedland Primary STEM Centre - Miss Stacey Slattery and Tutors

The Hedland Primary STEM Centre is an initiative that involves Polly Farmer Foundation working in partnership with local primary schools in Hedland to deliver an after school program that extends student knowledge and skills in STEM. The program is supported by BHP and operates out of a dedicated centre at South Hedland Primary School. The program is for Indigenous students in Years 4 – 6 who demonstrate aptitude and interest in STEM. Students are selected through their schools via teacher and principal referral. 30 students are selected for a place in the program each year which operates for a two-hour session twice per week on a Tuesday and Thursday after school.
